"It's 10:30 PM at night and I'm standing on the banks of the Yukon river near Dawson City, Yukon. I have a new camera and with the sun going down, decide it's a good time to try night photography. The first photo is grainy, but a spotlight from Dawson lights the sky. Wait. This isn't Toronto. There are no spotlights. That's the Northern LIghts slowly appearing over the horizon. By 1AM, they are bright green and yellow. Seeing the Norther lights, for the first time, on the Yukon River, Dawson. Pure Joy.
